Ron Paul has yet to be offered a speaking slot at the RNC convention in Tampa, Florida. What are your thoughts?

Today, his son, Senator Rand Paul, was confirmed as a speaker.
Despite reports from Lew Rockwell, there is no official word that Ron Paul has been excluded and the list of speakers has yet to be finalized.

I wonder if Ron Paul would even accept a speaking slot given that they would probably insist on editing his speech?

Romney is a P.O.S. I unregistered from the Republican Party today, they can all go to hell.
If Dr. Paul gets a 5 state plurality and nomination, he should be allowed to speak according to RNC rules. Mitt Romney shouldn’t be the one to “grant” that. Where is the legitimate convention debate? I personally don’t like my tax dollars going to a coronation of someone who isn’t even nominated yet. This is supposed to be a convention of discussion and debate; let the delegates who have followed this entire process decide.

Excuse me, but who in H3LL is Mitt to throw a crumb to Ron Paul?? He is a nobody, he has been dressed up by the GOP and is being rammed down our throats, we need to stand up to the “party” once and for all and send both sides packing, no one but the people should choose the President of the United States and all of you people that would heed to the GOP’s picking is quilty of the status quo winning over and over again! NO MORE “PARTYS”!! only LIBERTY, should matter most, if you are free you can accomplish great things and conquer all obstacles, without FREEDOM we are merely pawns at their mercy. There is only one candidate worthy of being the Commander in Chief and that is Ron Paul, no one else!!

If he doesn’t, it will be seen as a rejection of Dr. Paul’s supporters and he can forget their vote in Novrmber.
I don’t get it…? Why would the loser invite the Candidate to speak? That doesn’t make sense…

If Ron Paul want to speak, I think they should let him. I think that the RNC has just about lost any support they could have had. I am anxious to see the turn out for RON PAUL who should be nominated as the Republican candidate. Their loss, they don’t want anyone speaking who will tell the truth to the American people it doesn’t fit their agenda.
I think they gave a spot to Rand Paul knowing that the majority of Romney and Obama supporters would be fooled into thinking that it was RON PAUL endorsing him, or a slam that RON PAUL’s son endorses his competition. It is all good, we know the sneaky business they are trying to pull off. Doesn’t matter, I just hope that RON PAUL will publicly say he will never endorse Mitt Romney because he wants to make America better, not worse.
