BREAKING: Huge Explosion of Fertilizer Plant North of Waco

UPDATE: (NY Post 4/18) A senior Obama administration official said a series of briefings overnight have produced concern the Texas blast could have been at least criminal in nature. Authorities are trying to contain their speculation for fear of causing a panic, but the official told The Post the cause of the blast is “suspicious.”
(4/17) Local news sources are reporting a massive explosion at a fertilizer plant in West, Texas, just north of Waco. News websites have posted photos of a fireball that a woman driving on the interstate believed to be about 100 feet wide. This is what Sally Mojica posted on her Facebook wall:
“OMG!! Something just exploded in West! KDEM & I were on the interstate close to it and the explosion made our ears ring & blew my car off the road!!! Talk about being scared!!!!!”

(My Fox Local) The blast caused numerous injuries and several buildings have been destroyed.
At least 10 building structures are on fire, reported WFAA.
A nursing home and a school are two of the buildings on fire, according to KWTX. And the fertilizer plant where the explosion is believed to have originated from is located within four blocks of the local hospital.
And unconfirmed reports say that an apartment complex is on fire with several people trapped inside.
