ALERT: Harry Reid, House and Senate infested with Anarchists!
Today, Senator Harry Reid sounded the alarm that anarchists (the Tea Party) have taken over both houses of congress. Citizens should take necessary precautions and shelter in place!
“People who don’t believe in government — and that’s what the Tea Party is all about — are winning, and that’s a shame…Government is not inherently bad, government is inherently good…”
You can’t make this stuff up!
No word yet on Senator Reid’s thoughts on these famous quotes:
Society in every state is a blessing, but government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one. – Thomas Paine, Common Sense, 1776
The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first. – Thomas Jefferson
Oh no not Anarchists!
So this moron says that the reason we have a Constitution is because government is inherently good? What is he talking about, it’s actually the exact opposite? Did this guy ever study any history? The idea of anybody claiming they are superior to anyone else and using force to achieve their goals is so obviously immoral and wrong, only a sociopath would think any different.
In an interview with NPR earlier this summer, Reid elaborated a bit more on his comparison:
Who is the tea party? Well, understand, when I was in school I studied government, among other things. And prior to World War I and after World War I we had the anarchists. Now, they were violent. Some say that’s what started World War One, the anarchy movement. But they were violent. They did damage to property and they did physical damage to people. The modern anarchists, don’t do that. That’s the tea party. But they have the same philosophy as the early anarchists. They do not believe in government. Any time anything bad happens to government, that’s a victory for them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gX0jgf4MI5U
