NSA claims Clapper ‘forgot about NSA program’ now ruled illegal

No, this is not the Onion. According to his lawyer, NSA Dir. Jim Clapper didn’t lie when he asserted to Congress in 2013 that the government does not collect information about millions of Americans, he just “made a mistake.” And we’ve got the video:

For ordinary citizens, forgetting something of this magnitude while testifying to the U.S. Senate would result in a felony conviction. On the bright side, maybe this really is the most transparent administration of all time, they just forgot…
