So Planned Parenthood just changed policy over ‘fake’ videos? Right!
In a huge victory for the Center for Medical Progress, Planned Parenthood is backing down and setting a policy to stop accepting money in exchange for harvested baby/fetal parts.
Many on the left are not happy. Here are some responses:
…forever getting kicked in the teeth. We capitulate at the smallest, most irrelevant detail. – Roadbed Guy (DailyKos)
They’ll just take this as an acknowledgement by PP that they really were doing something wrong (which they in no way were) and were forced to stop. For them, to them, this will be viewed unequivocally as a victory (which it is). – ozoozol (DailyKos)
@NYTNational @nytimes Well if this adjustment is best for them okay but they shouldn’t give into stupid pressure.

The new policy — forgoing even permissible reimbursement — was outlined in a letter sent Tuesday by Planned Parenthood’s president, Cecile Richards, to Dr. Francis S. Collins, the director of the National Institutes of Health.
“Planned Parenthood’s policies on fetal tissue donation already exceed the legal requirements,” Ms. Richards wrote. “Now we’re going even further in order to take away any basis for attacking Planned Parenthood to advance an anti-abortion political agenda…” – New York Times
Responses from David Daleiden, the man behind the videos:
More like @PPact realizes how liable it is for #PPSellsBabyParts Do they know something we don't about indictments that are coming?

Nice admission of guilt re: #PPSellsBabyParts from @PPact today. 3 months saying nothing wrong, now new "policy" http://t.co/HBGI2oviBa

The grassroots pro-life movement has been galvanized over the last several months with Defund Planned Parenthood rallies in most major cities. It remains to be seen, will this recent change of policy stop the momentum or encourage the movement to grow even bolder?
