Students punished after having sex in school bathroom
I’d like us to take a look at two recent articles regarding school bathrooms.
FORT MYERS, Fla. – Several students at a Florida high school were disciplined after video surfaced of them having sex on school grounds. Authorities say the incident involved one female student and several male students at South Fort Myers High School. A police report says that 25 males were seen entering the bathroom where the incident took place. From: Students punished after allegedly having sex in school bathroom
and the following from the editorial board of the Charlotte Observer,
There have been no incidents involving locker rooms and bathrooms because of transgender policies. It is, eventually, a non-issue.
This is what the Obama administration nudged the rest of the country toward Friday. Yes, the thought of male genitalia in girls’ locker rooms – and vice versa – might be distressing to some. But the battle for equality has always been in part about overcoming discomfort – with blacks sharing facilities, with gays sharing marriage – then realizing that it was not nearly so awful as some people imagined. This term comes to mind,
cog·ni·tive dis·so·nance – the state of having inconsistent thoughts, beliefs, or attitudes, especially as relating to behavioral decisions and attitude change.
The only way you can rationalize these two articles is if you belong to a cult.
