Glenn Greenwald is OK with Fake News
In direct violation of his own principles, Glenn Greenwald appears to be happy to spread fake news if, as he puts it, “the dynamic it describes is accurate.”
If you’re not up to date on the story, an Onion worthy article was recently published by The Guardian, a previously influential British newspaper.
You need to read it for yourself. It’s an epic work of troll magic—which, of course, it turned out to be.
OK, I hold my hands up… I wrote this.

Glenn, what’s happening to you? Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to see most leftists losing their minds and going off the deep end post-Brexit-Trump, but you’re usually one of the rational ones. A true civil libertarian swimming in a sea of authoritarianism. What’s happening, brah?
@mtg_law_etc @SamHarrisOrg I think the anonymity is problematic – I assume @guardian vetted – but the dynamic it describes is accurate.

“Problematic,” lol?
Let me see if I’ve got this straight. Fake news that confirms my biases is useful in an end justifies the means sort of way?
What happened to this Greenwald?
Watch how often those demanding suppression of “Fake News” hype examples that attacked their candidate while ignoring opposite examples.

Just in case the original article gets taken down:

UPDATE: Unconfirmed, but it seems that someone from The Guardian is still standing by the article being legit. Either way, it’s still hilarious!
Guardian spokesman on spoof article claim: "We are confident of the identity of the author and the sourcing of the article in question." https://t.co/mC1a23lYoY
