Did the Deep State take down Judge Napolitano?
I don’t think it’s a stretch to imagine that there are establishment figures—on the right and the left—who are more than happy to see Judge Andrew Napolitano suspended from Fox News.
Judge Napolitano, one of the biggest voices for freedom and liberty, has reportedly been suspended over his claim that intelligence sources informed him that President Obama may have received surveillance information on Donald Trump (and/or his staff) from British intelligence services.
This dismissal by Fox is even more confusing given the fact that these same claims have been heard on other networks, even President Trump’s favorite target, the ‘Very Fake’ CNN.
Just recently, CNN’s Brian Stelter interviewed a former CIA analyst who backed up the claim and may be one of the main sources of Judge Napolitano’s information.
STELTER: [laughing] “Let me ask you about this thing.”
JOHNSON: “Sure.”
STELTER: “So, my sense is that on Monday, Napolitano says this on TV, he says he has Intel sources who believe this is true. You’re saying you were one of those sources, but you didn’t know Napolitano was going to use you like that?”
JOHNSON: “Well, apparently what happened was I communicated, when Donald Trump tweeted what he did on Saturday two weeks ago, the next day I was interviewed on Russia Today. I had known about the fact that the British, through GHCQ were information back channel. This was not at the direction of Barack Obama, let’s be clear about that. But it was being done with the full knowledge of people like John Brennan and Jim Clapper. I have been told this by two different people I know within the intelligence community in January. They were very concerned about this because they saw it as an unfair meddling in the politics, but it was a way to get around the issue of American intelligence agencies not collecting.”
STELTER: “To be clear, you have this secondhand? So, you didn’t get this information directly, you’re hearing from others.”
JOHNSON: “I’m hearing it from people who are in a position to know, that’s correct.”
If you haven’t seen it, you’re about to watch the video that may have caused Judge Andrew Napolitano to lose his job.

Fox senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano is being kept off the air indefinitely amid the controversy over his unverified claims that British intelligence wiretapped Trump Tower at the behest of former President Obama…[It is my judgement that this article is inaccurate to use the term ‘wiretap’ here.]
…White House press secretary Sean Spicer cited Napolitano’s charge last week when asked why President Trump continues to stand by his initial claim. The British spy agency sharply denounced Napolitano’s allegations, saying they are “utterly ridiculous and should be ignored.”
That rebuttal did not stop President Trump from citing Napolitano as a source again when he was asked about the wiretapping claims at a Friday news conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
“You shouldn’t be talking to me; you should be talking to Fox News,” said Trump, who described Napolitano as “a very talented lawyer.” – L.A. Times
