Seymour Hersh says Seth Rich connected to WikiLeaks

BREAKING: Mysterious audio has turned up online allegedly of Pultizer Prize winner Seymour Hersh stating (see transcript below and more on Rod Wheeler) that Seth Rich was in close contact and actually sent, “juicy emails” from the DNC to WikiLeaks. Seth Rich was later murdered. The case remains unsolved.

Late Spring (or) early Summer he (Seth Rich) makes contact with WikiLeaks. That’s in his computer. Now, I have to be careful….Anyway, they found what he had done. He had submitted a series of documents, of emails, some juicy emails from the DNC…All I know is that he offered a sample, an extensive sample (to WikiLeaks)…I’m sure dozens and said, “I want money.”

These audio clips don’t appear to be from WikiLeaks, but are being shared by the WikiLeaks Twitter account along with audio of the private investigator hired by the Rich family.

I’ll tell you what I know. What I know comes off an FBI report — don’t ask me how you can figure [this] out, I’ve been around long enough. I don’t think he [Seth Rich] was murdered because of what he knew. The kid was a nice boy, 27, he wasn’t an IT expert but he learned stuff. He was a data programmer but he learned stuff. And so, he’s living on one street —he’s living in a very rough neighborhood and in the exact area where he’d been [shot] there had been about 8 or 9 or 10 violent robberies, most of them with somebody brandishing a gun. His [Seth Rich] hands were marked up, the cops concluded he fought off the people and tried to run and they shot him twice in the back with a .22, a small caliber. Then the kids that did it ran, they got scared and didn’t take his wallet.

So what the cops do then, and here is what nobody knows. When you have a death like that, D.C. cops (some garbled talk about getting a warrant or not) you have to get to the apartment to see what you can find. If he’s dead, you don’t need a warrant but most cops get a warrant because they don’t know if the guy has a roommate. You need a warrant, so they get a warrant. I’m just telling you, there is such a thing. They go in the house and they can’t do much with his computer, it’s password [protected], the cops don’t know much about it. So the D.C. cops, they’re more sophisticated, they come and look at it and the idea is maybe he’s had a series of exchanges with somebody saying “I’m gonna kill you, motherfucker“ or girl [problem], and they can’t get in. The D.C. cyber guys do a little better but they can’t make sense of it, so they call the FBI cyber unit. The Washington Field Office is a hot shit unit, the guy running the Washington Field Office, he’s like a 3-Star at an army base and he’s looking for 4, he’s going to go in [and do] a top job. There is a cyber unit there that is excellent.

The Feds get through and here is what they find, this is according to the FBI report. First, you have to know some basic facts. There is no DNC or Podesta email that exists beyond May 22nd, the last email from either one of those groups. So what the report says is that sometime in late Spring, early Summer, he [Seth Rich] makes contact with WikiLeaks, that’s in his computer. I have to be careful because I met Julian in Europe 10-12 years ago, I stay the fuck away from people like that. When I’m in London, I always get a message [from him] “ come see me in the Ecuadorian Embassy” and I say “ Fuck you, I ain’t going there.” I’ve got enough trouble without getting photographed [going in], every-fucking-day he’s under total surveillance by everybody. But anyway, they [FBI cyber unit] had found what he [Seth Rich] had done is submitted a series of documents, of emails, the juicy emails from the DNC. By the way, all this shit about the DNC — was it a hack or wasn’t a hack — whatever happened, the Democrats themselves wrote this shit! All I know is that he offered a sample, an extensive sample, I’m sure dozens of emails and said “ I want money.” And that later, WikiLeaks did get the password [to the rest].

He [Seth Rich] had a Dropbox, a protected Dropbox, which isn’t that hard to do, you don’t have to be an IT wizard. They got access to the Dropbox. This is also in the FBI report: He also let people know, withwhom he was dealing, I don’t know how he dealt with WikiLeaks and the mechanism but the word was passed, according to the FBI report, he [Seth Rich] also shared this Dropbox with a couple of friends so “ if anything happens to me, it’s not going to solve your problem.” I don’t know what that means but anyway, WikiLeaks got access and before he was killed.

I can tell you right now, [DCI John] Brennan’s an asshole, I’ve known all these people for years, [DNI James] Clapper’s sort of a better guy but not a rocket scientist, the NSA guys are fucking morons.And the trouble with all those guys is, the only way they’re going to [kind of garbled but says to get] some fat-cat contracts is if Hillary stayed in. With Trump, they’re gone, they’re done, they can live on their pensions, they’re not going to make it. I got to tell you, guys in that job, they don’t want to live on their pension, they want to be onboard and [garbled but says making tons of money].

I have somebody on the inside, I’ve been around for a long time, I’ve read a lot of stuff. I’ve got somebody on the inside who will go and read a file for me, this person is unbelievably accurate and careful, he’s a very high level guy and he will do a favor. You’re just going to have to trust me. I have what they call in my business long-form journalism, I have a narrative of how that [The Russians™] whole fucking thing began. It’s a Brennan operation —it’s an American disinformation [operation] — and the fucking President [Obama]! At one point, they even started telling the Press: they were back-briefing the Press, the head of the NSA was going and telling the Press. This fucking cocksucker [Adm. Michael] Rogers was telling the Press that “[we] even know who in the GRU,” the Russian Military Intelligence service, “leaked it.” All bullshit! I worked at the New York Times for fucking years, and the New York Times has smart guys but they’re totally beholden on sources. If the President or the head of the CIA tells them something, they actually believe it. These guys [Intel/White House] run the fucking Times. And President Trump is not wrong — I wish he would calm down and get a better Press Secretary — Trump’s not wrong to think they all fucking lied about him.

Yesterday, a private investigator in the Seth Rich murder case hired by the family of the slain DNC staffer filed a lawsuit against Fox5 news and GOP financier Ed Butowsky for misrepresenting statements he made in order to”shift the blame from Russia and help put to bed speculation that President Trump colluded with Russia…” because “that is the way the President wanted the article,” the suit alleges… (Zerohedge 8/2/17)
