Nobel Prize for Rodman and Pres Trump?
Guess what the former basketball star, Dennis Rodman, gave to Kim Jong Un last Summer? A copy of Donald Trump’s “The Art of the Deal.” Welcome to 2018!
Yesterday, Dennis Rodman reacted to news of President Trump’s willingness to meet with Kim Jong Un. “Well done, President Trump. You’re on the way to a historical meeting no U.S. president has ever done…” (3/8/18 FOX)
It should be noted, despite the bluster, President Trump did continually signal his willingness to talk with the North Korean leader over the last two years.
Sure, I always believe in talking,” he said. “But we have a very firm stance. Look, our stance, you know what it is. We’re very firm. But I would be, absolutely I would do that. I don’t have a problem with that at all…(Kim) knows I’m not messing around. I’m not messing around. Not even a little bit. Not even 1%. He understands that. At the same time, if we can come up with a very peaceful and very good solution, we’re working on it … with a lot of people. (1/6/18 CNN)
Here’s the question. If something good comes of this meeting, how do we not give President Trump and Dennis Rodman a Nobel Peace Prize? Considering that President Obama got one for…what?
Dennis Rodman has been visiting North Korea for several years. This short documentary on his first trip is a must-see. “Dennis Rodman and a trio of Harlem Globetrotters traveled to the capital of Pyongyang for a tour of the city, a basketball clinic, an exhibition game, and a first-ever meeting between the leader and an American delegation.”
