CNN’s Don Lemon calls Kanye “a Minstrel Show”
Update: Since posting, NFL legend Herschel Walker has called for CNN to fire Don Lemon. More on that down below.
CNN doubled down today with even more racially charged language aimed at Kanye West following his lunch today with President Trump. Mr. Lemon followed his remarks that Kanye’s presidential meeting was a “minstrel show,” with a call for his…kidnapping? Here’s the quote. “If anyone around him cares about him…they need to grab him and snatch him up and get Kanye “together.”
Listen for yourself:
Went to bed appalled over @donlemon despicable behavior laughing at @TaraSetmayer and @Bakari_Sellers awful remarks about Kanye West’s visit with @realDonaldTrump!! Woke up wondering why @CNN doesn’t take all three off the air?#SHAMEFUL #CNN https://t.co/MwGWIfh8so

What I saw was a minstrel show, today. Him in front of all of these white people…embarrassing himself and embarrassing…Americans but mostly African Americans because every one of them (generalization?) is sitting either at home or with their phones watching this…cringing. I couldn’t even watch it. I had to turn the television off because it was so hard to watch. Him sitting there, being used by the president of the United States. The President of the United States exploiting him…someone who needs to deal with his issues…(His friends) If anyone around him cares about him…they need to grab him and snatch him up and get Kanye “together,” because Kanye needs help…we have to stop pretending that ‘this is normal…’
Good to see this site (somewhat left leaning) call Don Lemon and CNN out! Share it:
