The following is a playlist of some of our favorite Julie Borowski videos, aka Token Libertarian Girl. The first is her latest video addressing the ridiculous notion by some Keynesian economists that disasters, like Hurricane Sandy, will ultimately boost economic growth because of increased spending. Julie has become a bit of an internet sensation with her parody of Barack Obama’s campaign video featuring Lena Dunham. That video (2nd in our playlist) currently has 233,725 views and comes up as the second option when you search “Lena Dunham” on Youtube.

Julie Borowski is the Policy Analyst at FreedomWorks. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Frostburg State University in Maryland.

Previously, she was selected to be a Charles G. Koch Summer Fellow with the Institute for Humane Studies where she interned at the Center for Competitive Politics. Most recently, she was a government affairs associate at Americans for Tax Reform.

Due to her college economics classes, she developed a passion for the Austrian School of Economics. She served as Vice President and Treasurer of her Maryland Student Legislation delegation and remains active in Students for Liberty and Young Americans for Liberty. She has volunteered for political candidates in Kentucky and in her home state of Maryland. Her writings on various topics have appeared in numerous blogs and newspapers.

Earlier this year, I had a chance to meet her very briefly when she spoke at the Veterans for Ron Paul event in D.C.
