Did Ron Paul Tweet That? ‘Those who live by the sword, die by the sword’
Update…Ron Paul posts on Facebook:
As a veteran, I certainly recognize that this weekend’s violence and killing of Chris Kyle were a tragic and sad event. My condolences and prayers go out to Mr. Kyle’s family. Unconstitutional and unnecessary wars have endless unintended consequences. A policy of non-violence, as Christ preached, would have prevented this and similar tragedies. -REP
Early this morning, Ron Paul ostensibly tweeted his thoughts on the recent death of Chris Kyle, the most lethal sniper in American military history.
Chris Kyle’s death seems to confirm that “he who lives by the sword dies by the sword.” Treating PTSD at a firing range doesn’t make sense

I’m going to go out on a limb here and predict that this is an unthinking tweet by someone on Ron Paul’s staff. Many have pointed out that shooting at a firing range is actually a good treatment for some people with PTSD. Ron Paul was a veteran himself and this tweet just doesn’t sound like him…
What are your thoughts?
Even from a critical standpoint, the tweet doesn’t make sense. When I listen to Mr. Paul, he sounds like a politician. Any politician would know better, especially given his support base, than to say such a thing. I was struck when I first read it as well.
