Planned Parenthood, Murderers at Heart

Many thanks to Alisa LaPolt Snow, lobbyist for Planned Parenthood, for making her organization’s intention toward children crystal clear. Let’s leave aside the issue of (in the womb) abortion for a moment. Mrs. Snow recently testified that the decision to kill a child that survives a failed abortion is at the whim of the mother and the abortion doctor.

UPDATE. Last year, the Journal of Medical Ethics published an article that argues that newborns are not “actual persons” and lack a “moral right to life.” The paper was received in November 2011.

You could just brush this off as a rare occurrence…or maybe this is a moment when we should ask ourselves, “What really is going on here? Watch the video:

You can watch the full video here. (Excerpt is from the 39:00 mark.)

Rep. Jim Boyd: It is just really hard for me to even ask you this question because I’m almost in disbelief…If a baby is born on a table as a result of a botched abortion, what would Planned Parenthood want to have happen to that child that is struggling for life?”

Mrs. Snow: We believe that any decision that’s made should be left up to the woman, her family, and the physician.

Rep. Daniel Davis: What happens in a situation where a baby is alive, breathing on a table, moving. What do your physicians do at that point?

Mrs. Snow: I do not have that information. I am not a physician…

“I happened to have walked into an operating room where they were doing an abortion on a late pregnancy. They lifted out a small baby that was able to cry and breathe and they put it in a bucket and put it in the corner of the room and pretended it wasn’t there. I walked down the hallway and a baby was born early — slightly bigger than the baby they put in the bucket and they wanted to save this baby. So they might have had 10 doctors in there doing everything conceivable [to save that baby’s life].”

“Who are we to decide that we pick and throw one away and pick up and struggle to save the other ones…Unless we resolve this and understand that life is precious and we must protect life, we can’t protect liberty.” – Ron Paul
