I wasn’t a huge fan of the Avett Brothers’, “I and Love and You,” album. It was about as cheesy and self important as the title sounds, but their earlier song, “Murder in the City” is drop dead gorgeous. I first heard the song in the car while driving away from the hospital and leaving a beloved family member behind in an unknown state–in a coma. Needless to say, the song pierced me through like an arrow.
Thank God, my aunt did regain most of her strength and faculties after several weeks…
