Mitt Romney Accepts the Term “Grandfather of Obamacare”

So, is this the etch-a-sketch Romney that we were warned about? In answer to a question on healthcare at a Univision Forum on Wednesday, Mr. Romney accepted the label of “grandfather of Obamacare.” It’s a move that is likely to cause even more head shaking among conservatives.

Something that the media hasn’t made note of yet is Romney’s language as his voice trails off in the above clip. “I don’t think he meant that as a compliment, but I’ll take it. This was during my primary…we thought about it not being helpful.”

So, it wasn’t helpful to be called the grandfather of Obamacare during the primary, but now–now you’ll take it?

Is this guy in trouble, or what?

P.S. Maybe if Mitt Romney had some core beliefs he could speak to this issue with substance? Take, for example, Dr. Rand Paul.
