Rand Paul Shines on CNN’s Wolf Blitzer

A top notch interview with Senator Rand Paul covering his historic speech today at the Heritage Foundation among other foreign policy issues. Per usual, there were crickets when Sen. Paul mentioned concern for Christians who are fleeing the violence from some of the rebels in Syria. He also handled the charge of “isolationism” brilliantly and unexpectedly by bringing it up first and differentiating himself by saying,

We often have sort of two polar extremes and really just one, for the most part…that we’re everywhere all of the time. The other extreme is that we’d be nowhere any of the time and that would be “isolationism.” I think that there’s a more realistic approach that’s somewhere in the middle…
