A Confusing IU Strike

Last Thursday and Friday, a loose association of liberal groups at Indiana University staged a strike citing a long list of goals.

I spoke to some of the protesters on Friday morning–trying to pin down their goals. No doubt, the price of college is out of control, but I’m not sure if having a long list of ‘liberal policies’ as their goal is going to serve them well.

Driving home a day earlier, I caught a local eclectic comedy/music show which included a discussion of the strike. Even liberals seem to be embarrassed by the confusing list of demands.

Sadly, few students have a clue how federally guaranteed student loans are driving up the cost of their education–which we all agree is going up at an alarming rate. Watch Peter Schiff debate this here:
