UPDATE: NBC NEWS has picked up on Senator Rand Paul’s concern (More details) about a Ukrainian loan ultimately going to Russia:
It’s amusing to note how Huffington Post commenters, a far left website, are almost all dismissing Senator Paul’s concern now echoed by NBC News. You know, ’cause Rand Paul has weird hair and probably ‘can’t find Europe on a map…’
On Wednesday, Senator Rand Paul introduced an amendment to strike out the $1 billion loan guarantee and increased IMF funding to Ukraine. His amendment failed by voice vote, but not before Sen. Paul made his point before the committee. He asked, among other things, “for a show of hands of those who would personally buy Ukrainian debt?” Crickets…
Senator Paul spoke again towards the end of the hearing after Senator McCain.
~ Why are sane individuals like Rand Paul always treated with controversy?
~ Senators Menendez and McCain are the ‘crazies’ who don’t give a damn about America.
~ They have the integrity and principles beneath any typical mob boss.
~ Everything they’ve ever done just makes America more broke and more vulnerable.
~ Two pontificating power brokers.
~ They need to be ‘politically cleansed’ from the system.
This is our own fault. We continue to send these same fools back to their seats instead of doing the correct thing with people who don’t listen and won’t learn, fire them.
We know that in order to be a Democrat you have to be either stupid (in the case of votes) or devious and evil (in the case of those elected) but the republicans don’t have that excuse.
Which leads to the question: Why, oh why, does McCain continue to get re-elected? Is it his war record (which doesn’t look so good once one delves into it)? Maybe it’s the Arizona heat that causes republicans in that state to be foolish. What ever the case, the man is a fool.
